WHY VOTE LABOUR?

1. We will listen to you

As councillors, we will be proactive; we will hold regular surgeries, listen to your concerns and take action when required in a timely manner. From dog fouling to fly tipping, anti-social behaviour, littering and dereliction, we will strive to achieve cleaner and safer streets.

2. We will work with you

To strengthen relationships with local businesses, charities, community groups and organisations and to promote investment in run-down areas like the Bull Ring and the Market Place.

3. We will endeavour to protect what's important to you

By safeguarding the assets that we know are important to local people such as community sports facilities, public open space and core services. We will protect the Moorends Allotments, which is one of the biggest in the country.

4. We will fight for change

Thorne and Moorends will be promoted as a place for investment, growth and prosperity. We will work with the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group to promote and plan appropriate development in the Town.

5. We will seek opportunities

To promote Thorne and Moorends as a place for investment, growth and prosperity. To include; new jobs, apprenticeships and training schemes. New opportunities for our school children, school leavers and returning graduates. New opportunities for working families and our vulnerable.

We will always fight for a
fair deal for the whole community.
